Upon first opening, hints of flinty-minerally aromas among a concentration of apple, honey, apricot and clove. After some airing, the nuances begin to change to peaches, honey, toast and caramel. A very full and rich entry showing concentration and focused fruit qualities. A wine with great texture and appeal on the palate. The flavor profile of toast, honey, spice, and peach seems to linger indefinitely.

- From International Wine Cellar: "Higher-pitched stony...
“…(full malo; from all Carneros fruit): … grapefruit-scented nose, with a floral nuance and bass notes of honey and brown butter. Sweet, round and quite rich, but seems shocked by the December bottling. A very young chardonnay that’s difficult to assess today, but one with very strong material. The Reserve will make better early drinking.” – Stephen Tanzer [90+ POINTS]
