96% Cabernet Sauvignon
2% Cabernet Franc
13% by volume
Brilliant dark ruby color. An early harvest but with a perfect balance of sugar, flavor and tannin maturities. Aromas of toasted vanilla, cassis and spice are very concentrated and very dominant. On the palate the wine explodes with fruit (cassis and blackberry) and concentrated flavors. Classic flavors of cassis dominate with a rich and round vanilla/spice quality. This wine is rich and silky with elegant tannins and a long, long finish.

“…1990 Profile exhibits loads of rich cassis fruit combined with scents of minerals and spice. The tannin is more aggressive than in the 1991, but there is no doubting the wine’s rich, concentrated, full-bodied style that is both stylish and intense. Unlike the more approachable 1991, this atypically backward 1990 warrants 2-3 years of cellaring; it should age for two decades.” – Robert Parker, Jr. [90+ POINTS]
