Flavor Profile
Brilliant medium dark ruby color. Hints of cassis and cedar hide behind more pronounced aromas of black cherry and blackberry. After some airing in the glass, the briary undertones are augmented by notes of mint and chocolate. Upon tasting, the wine exhibits a very full, yet velvety mouth feel with rich tannins and a round, full finish with lingering chocolate-cherry flavors. In all, a very complex wine, from outstanding vineyards in a year that is showing great promise.
